Commenting

I love getting feedback on my posts and talking about the struggles (and unexpected joys) that come with migraine disease. You can get in touch with me publicly on Facebook, Google+, Twitter, or by leaving a comment here; or privately via the Contact page or Facebook or Twitter direct message (see sidebar for social media links).

As long as you are:

  • courteous,
  • kind,
  • ethical,
  • and contribute to the conversation,

we’ll get along great.

There are, however, a few things I will not tolerate in any of my online interactions. Your comment will be deleted without notice if you do any of the following things:

  • Use hateful or derogatory speech. This is my blog, so I will judge what is hateful. If we disagree, the internet is a big place, and I’m sure you can find someone else who agrees with you.
  • Tell me or another commenter what to do about migraine disease. Asking “Have you tried this?” or saying something like, “This really worked for me” is fine. “You need to do [blank]” is not.
  • Comment with the sole purpose of promoting a product or service. This includes things like migraine meds, your alternative medicine practice, “cures,” and other treatments like mouth guards for TMJ. The Adventures of Miss Migraine is a safe place for people with migraine to gather and share stories. It is not a place for advertisements.

I may need to update or modify this comment policy in the future. If I do, I’ll be sure to post about the changes and the reasons behind them.

Thank you for taking the time to read this blog and share your thoughts with the world.
